Axe the Wax LTD – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the service provided by Axe the Wax, a mobile earwax removal service operating in Dorset. By booking an appointment or receiving treatment, you (“the client”) agree to these Terms:

 

1. Services

Axe the Wax LTD provides professional earwax removal services using the microsuction method or manual removal. The service is delivered at your chosen location (e.g. home, workplace, or care setting), provided it is safe and suitable for treatment.

 

2. Booking and Appointments

  • Appointments can be booked online, by phone, or via email/social media.

  • Appointment confirmations are subject to availability and will be confirmed once accepted by us.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel appointments where conditions are unsuitable, unsafe, or where medical contraindications exist.

 

3. Medical Consent and Suitability

  • Before treatment, you will be required to complete a consent and medical questionnaire.

  • It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant medical conditions, recent ear infections, surgeries, or ear-related symptoms.

  • If the practitioner deems the procedure unsafe or unsuitable, treatment may be refused or postponed (or you will be referred to a GP/ENT specialist).

  • All individuals must be 18+ to qualify for treatment. 

 

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Axe the Wax LTD has a £30 non-refundable booking fee, this is required before your booking is confirmed. 

  • Axe the Wax LTD will charge no further payment if the client has no earwax but the service charge for earwax removal is £40 on the day of treatment. 

  • We accept cash, card, or electronic payment (e.g. bank transfer).

  • All prices include travel within our standard service area.

 

5. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

  • Appointments cancelled within less than 24 hours’ are unable to be rescheduled. 

  • In the case of an unsuccessful earwax removal (if the wax cannot be safely or fully removed during your appointment), the booking fee remains non-refundable. This is to cover the time, expertise and resources allocated to your appointment. 

  • If we need to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule.

 

6. Results and Follow-Up

  • While we aim to achieve complete wax removal, results can vary depending on wax consistency, ear anatomy, and pre-existing conditions.

  • In some cases, a follow-up appointment may be required at an additional charge of £30.

  • We recommend using pure olive oil drops for 3–5 days before treatment unless otherwise advised. Please do not use 'Otex' or anything else containing hydrogen peroxide as this changes the consistency of the earwax in a way that makes it harder to remove. 

 

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment is provided for mobile visits.

  • Refrain from using cotton buds or inserting objects into the ears before treatment.

  • Follow any aftercare advice provided by the practitioner to which we will provide you with an aftercare sheet. 

 

8. Liability

  • All services are carried out by trained and insured professionals.

  • We accept no responsibility for complications arising from withheld medical information, failure to follow pre- or post-treatment advice, or issues outside our control.

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service provided.

 

9. Data Protection

  • We process client information in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Your personal and medical data are stored securely and used only for the purpose of providing treatment and maintaining accurate medical records.

  • We do not share your information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

 

10. Complaints

  • We strive to deliver the highest standard of care. If you are dissatisfied with your service, please contact us within 7 days at olliegallanders@axethewax.co.uk or by +44 7428 753730, and we will aim to resolve your concern promptly.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
