What is microsuction?

Microsuction uses a small medical suction device to carefully and precisely clear the ear canal.
Microsucton is a dry procedure, meaning no water is used so it's a safer option for those with ear conditions, perforated eardrums and it reduces the risk of infection and damage.

A small warning, microsuction can be a little noisy and some people may experience mild discomfort during treatment. I will stop if you need a break.

What is earwax?
What are the benefits of earwax removal?
Earwax (also called cerumen) is a completely natural substance produced by natural glands in the ear canal. Despite its reputation, earwax isn't "dirt" - in fact, it plays an important role in keeping your ears healthy but it sometimes needs removing.

Most of the time, earwax takes care of itself and doesn't need any help because the ear canal has a natural cleaning process. However, earwax can build-up and become impacted which means it's too dry, hard or stuck to clear on its own.

PROTECTION
Earwax helps trap dust, dirt and small particles which prevents them from reaching and irritating the eardrum.

MOISTURISING
Earwax keeps the delicate skin of the ear canal from becoming too dry or itchy.

ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTIES
Earwax provides a natural defence against bacteria and fungi, reducing the risk of ear infections.

SELF-CLEANING
As we chew and move our jaw, earwax slowly works its way outward which carries trapped debris with it.
